I can’t really sum myself up in a few words, so let me give you the semi extended version. If you asked my husband to describe me…he would take a deep breath first :0) Here it goes…
I’ve been a pediatric nurse for about 13 years, and I’ve sprinkled a little bit of everything else I can think of in timeframe as well. I worked a little ER, a little plastic surgery, a little hospice…I’ve definitely seen some sh$t in my time! Being a nurse has brought a lot of life lesson, experience and insight to my life. This is probably where I get my no BS attitude, and I know this is why I’m so detail oriented. This job pays the bills, but I always felt like I was meant for something more glamorous
I’ve been a working freelance makeup artist in the the burgh for about 7 years. When it comes to beauty and fashion, I’m a constant sponge of interest! I love moving with the times, and beyond the times. I did some “boutique” owning in my day, which is how I gained enough attraction to be a @Liketo.know.it Influencer. I realized I loved sharing where I bought things, rather than selling them myself! my style is yoga pant chic…but I’m working on it
I’m the queen of “solutions.” If you have a want, a need, or a desire…I guarantee I have a gadget, a link, a tool for you! I spend my time scouring amazon and finding life hacks and solution products you may never knew you needed! My husbands life was WAY bland before I came along!
I also like to call my self an amateur designer, but I’ll let you all be the judge of that! My favorite thing to do is transform a space that makes me smile every time I walk in. I’ve spent a good chunk of my past life not loving my surroundings, and chasing, so my focus since I bought my forever home was to make it not so “builder basic” and more what makes me smile.
I’m a creative person, I like to make jewelry out of leather, bake, and I’m a forever crafter! So if you like crafting, you will get a little of that here! Especially if you own a Cricut! I spread myself so thin at times, that I don’t do this as much as I would like, but I’m getting to a place where I can do crafting more.
My most important “about” is my family. I am married to a man, that I crawled through the depths of hell to get to…(ok maybe I’m being a bit dramatic.) lets just say, I traveled that there broken road all the way to him, my soulmate. Life isn’t always perfect, but I know I’m where I need to be. He brought with him 2 lovely daughters, that we have full time. You will read a lot of my step mom journey! I have a wonderful mom, and step dad, brother and sister in law. My father unfortunately passed when i was 26, he’s my angel/hero. You will see a lot of my niece, she makes my uterus scream daily lol she’s the cutest ever (I’m bias of course)
I’ve live through some things, and experienced some things that some may not imagine. Losing a parent after caring for them medically, seeing horrible things as a nurse, and basically living my own episode of “who the F&@k did I marry” weight loss, and weight gain, and blended families. I always tell people “I could write a book,” well…here is my book!
…which leads me to my next point of the introduction…
I am an IVF warrior. You will hear a lot about that path here. I have a unique journey with it, but I’m excited to share my stories and experiences with it. The ending of that chapter is still being written…
