Summer is finally here! After a crazy few months of uncertainty, and cinematic like life resulting in no traveling, Im finally on my family vacation here in Ocean City Maryland. Every year we go on this vacation, my mother, stepdad, husband and step children and whoever else wants to go! This year we are here with my 1 year old niece which makes my heart melt! I get a lot of questions however, what makeup I bring on vacation since I have SO much to choose from. Here are my go to travel Items that give me the ability to create any look I want while on my vacay!
Complexion
I typically bring 2 choices when it comes to foundation and concealer. —Tarte Maracuja Tinted hydrator is a really light every day, your skin but better options when you want to look natural.
–Tarte Shape tape foundation is my second favorite, its my full coverage option for night, and its the Matte version so its great to control the greasy look in hot weather.
–Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Concealer is something I’ve been testing for about 2 months now. I’m really loving it on natural makeup days. Its not full coverage, more of a medium luminous hydrating. Great for those summer days!
–elf Camo Concealer is my addition for my full coverage nights out. This is an affordable dupe for shape tape! Its full coverage, and it blends so nicely!
–NYX banana powder is my go to holy grail under eye setting powder. I can’t find anything else that goes on so finely milled and doesn’t make my under eyes look like cake face.
–Charlotte Tilbury Flawless setting powder has quickly become my go to for setting the rest of my face. It has a slight color to it, so it adds a bit of coverage, but sets the face so nicely!
–Juno & Co sponges are something new I’m trying out. I’ve seen so many Beauty gurus use these sponges, and when I was shocked to find them in Target, I decided to try a few of them. so far…they will definitely be replacing my Beauty Blender! They are so affordable, and soft.
Bronzer and Blush
–No Poreblem primer is just my all time favorite, a little silicon-y pore filling effect, and hydrating!
–Benefit Hoolah quickie contour stick is my favorite cream bronzer. the color isn’t too orangy or warm and it adds some great dimension. I tend to use cream bronzer when i’m in hot places to add more natural face like contour.
–Bronze Please Bronzer by Loreal has quickly become my favorite all over bronzer. the pan is HUGE and it blends like buttaaahhh
-Elizabeth Mott “show me your cheeks” blush is something I’m using lately because I love the color. I received this in a boxycharm, however I couldn’t find it to link, so I’ll be linking a similar one here by Loreal, that is part of the same line as the bronzer!
–Bahama Mama Bronzer by The Balm is my favorite bronzer for setting my contour. Its a cooler toned bronzer that gives that perfect shadowy tone to chisel out my face, at least for my skin tone.
–Laura Gellar Gilded Honey is the perfect beach highlight, not too gold, not too silver!
–Sol De Janeiro liquid glow oil is the best for bronzing and glowing those shoulders and decolletage. I love this during the summer applied with a dense kabuki brush because its not sticky, it smells HEAVENLY and it gives that glow from the gods look.
Eyeshadow
-Tartlette Palettes by Tarte are my go to for travel. They are my favorite shadows, and blend so nice. the packaging is travel friendly as well. These two, Tartelette in bloom, and Tartelette are my favorite combos. Tartelette is a full matte palette, and the in bloom has a mix of amazing mattes and shimmers. Every color you would ever need for a day to sultry look.
-Stila Glitter and Glow liquid shadow in Smoldering Satin, and Bronzed Bell
–Elf Liquid Glitter shadow is a great Dupe for the Stila liquid shadows. I’m loving how similar and affordable this is. I do wish they had more “wearable” shades, I purchased the shade “Flirty Birdy” which is a champagne glitter for only about $5.
Lashes and Brow
–Tarte Big Ego Mascara is the Tarte equivalent to Better than Sex by Too faced.
-Joah beauty makes some of my favorite products, and they are drugstore! The clear brow gel, because why would you ever pay more than 6.00 for that? especially when this one is amazing, Precision brow pencil which is my go to dupe for Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz. Joah Beauty “I’m so Fly” liquid Liner with the felt tip. I also love the brush tip, its a great drugstore liner
–Milani supreme Kohl Kajal Liner is my lately one of my favorite smudgeable liners that you can use for a quick top and bottom, or just in the water line. It stays put and once smudged into the right places, doesn’t really smudge into the wrong places if you catch my drift? With this one, I rarely have it collect in my inner tear duct which happens to me with even the most expensive of liners.
–Grande Lash serum since I’m trying to stay on a schedule (and failing miserably) at putting this on every night! I know lash serums work, but I’m terribly at consistency!
Lips/ Perfume
–Elf makes this amazing lip exfoliator that comes in a few different flavors. It keeps your lips really smooth on the go, without the mess of scooping scrub with your finger and flinging it all over the place. its like a lipstick, but gritty!
-The best nude lips I have are these two! Nude lust by Maybelline is my go to creamy drugstore nude. and Too faced Natural Nudes in “Send Nudes” is a super creamy higher end lipstick
Did you know that Target sold different perfumes? this is an area of the store I never really paid attention to! I stumbled across this Good Chemistry Perfume in the scent Queen Bee and fell in love! Only 12.99! I was in the market for a new scent and unfortunately for me, I have to watch because I’m very sensitive. This particular one smells so clean and has some hints of citrus which is right up my alley. floral scents and musky scents are a no go for me, and even my husband loves this. Check out Good chemistry next time you are in target!
Cosmetic Bag
Last but not least, I know Ya’ll are wanting to know where I got these amazing Louis Vuitton dupes! Would you guess, Walmart?! and SO affordable??? I linked them all right here for your buying pleasure!
